洛克希德·马丁公司的“臭鼬工厂”以生产性能卓越的飞机闻名于世,U-2 侦察机、SR-71 “黑鸟”侦察机、F-117 “夜鹰”隐形战斗机都是他们的得意之作。如今“臭鼬工厂”又有了新作品,不过似乎有点小,是一个用来检查、修复飞艇的机器人,名为 Spider。  “臭鼬工厂”的工作人员表示,以往检修飞艇的方法非常耗时,工人首先要给飞艇放气(整个过程需要几个小时),然后才能使用手持式强光灯仔细检查飞艇上的裂口和破损。  Spider 其实是自行破损评估修复仪的简称,这个小机器人分内外两个部分,用磁力连接,它让飞艇的检修工作简单了不少。
